Existential threats, such as climate change, cybercrime, war and widespread underinsurance, are pushing insurers to shift their approach from merely funding recovery to actively helping consumers prevent or mitigate risks.
This transformation towards a more proactive approach creates the need for advanced technology adoption, cultural changes to reduce siloed operations and improved customer data access. However, it will also require enhanced IT skill sets and infrastructure that some companies simply don’t have.
