Today there is a concerted focus on transitioning to renewable and clean energy sources from fossil fuels. As a result, fully electric or hybrid vehicle sales are taking off worldwide, accounting for 10% of vehicles sold in Europe in 2020. With multiple future bans looming on the sale of gasoline-powered cars and increasingly strict sustainability and efficiency standards, renewables are the future.
However, this has put increasing pressure on organisations to find ways to make their infrastructure more compliant with these new standards. Organisations realise that isolated changes won’t cut it long-term. They need to implement integrated and intelligent systems to manage their assets better to lower power usage, minimise costs, and limit the financial risk of dealing with short-term, emergency energy suppliers.
